UEBA monitors the activities of users and compares present activity to “normal” or “baseline” behavior. Using advanced algorithms, the aim is either to detect anomalous activity … which could be an indication of an intrusion or …malicious “insider” actions, or to spot known malicious behavior patterns UEBA, is a type of cyber security process that takes note of the normal conduct of users. In turn, they detect any anomalous behavior or instances when there are deviations from these “normal” patterns. To predict unknown threats, UEBA examines everything users and entities are doing in real-time, then aggregates, correlates, and links that data to identify anomalies.
